Who We Are
The Feline Fedora is not just a bunch of random makers and craftsmen; we're a family who thinks that creating something special with your own two hands to support those in need is the cat's meow. Our mission is simple: to spread our joy of crafting, make a difference, and inspire others to dive into the wonderful world of handmade treasures to do the same.
So, who's who at The Feline Fedora?
The Mad Hatter and Deal Diva: Caroline BrunsWhat started out as an easy-to-do traveling craft, Caroline found a passion in loom knitted hats. Between searching for the best second-hand yarn selection on Facebook Marketplace and traveling the US, she has knitted well over 1,000 hats. For the last several years, she has donated her collection to, not only, local women's shelters, but internationally to those in need. Once she started fostering dogs, she began to explore what other designs her looming could accomplish, including nifty dog collar covers.
Caroline is always sourcing the best deal for materials. She loves shopping the clearance shelves, scrolling through Facebook Marketplace, and finding the best coupon code or slick deal that gives a bang for our buck.
The Man with the Manufacturing Plan: Marley Bruns
Even as a kid, Marley liked to make things, woodworking being his favorite. He carried that desire into adulthood and developed his skills as a handyman. Marley can do pretty much anything with an idea and some tools! With a fully furnished workshop filled to the brim with every machine imaginable, Marley tackles the majority of manufacturing for The Feline Fedora, including cutting wood pieces and sanding them to smooth perfection. His shop is also stocked with painting supplies and other odds and ends to finalize the pieces.
When Marley isn't holed up in his shop, he is usually out gardening.
The Craft and Task Master: Megan BrunsIt started out as something to keep me busy at night after work. A little sewing here; seeing something online I could make over there; buying a Cricut and trying a bit of DIY. It was fun. But then I thought maybe, just maybe, we could turn this hobby into something a bit more. I wanted to do the crafts I love while finding avenues for supporting my other passions, like animal welfare.
At the Feline Fedora I pretty much do a little of everything. I put the finishing touches on our products and generate new ideas. I work on this blog and run the business side of the house. I make sure everything runs (relatively) smoothly.
This is the Feline Fedora's first year in business. So we're all a little nervous. But I hope you can see we have a great team and things can only get better from here. We invite you to explore and appreciate our creations. With every purchase, you are not only acquiring a beautiful, one-of-a-kind item but also supporting local animal charities for animals in need.
Please look forward to what we can make next!

The Feline Fedora is a "Craft for Fund" organization. Materials and countles hour of time have been donated to build an inventory of hand crafted home décor. We strive to use as much recycled, upcycled, and reusable items that we can source: such as wood scraps; discounted fabrics/remnants; and leftover ornaments that would otherwise end up at a landfill post-season.
